Description: Aaron Cozort discusses one of the most fundamental words to Christianity. Hope. In the first of a two-part series on Hope, The Promise of Hope is seen in God’s assurance of that hope carried to us by the characteristics of God Himself. Our Hope as Christians must be a proper hope. If we hope in the wrong thing, we will be eternally without hope. Study with Aaron to discover the reality of the Hope Jesus Christ brought to the world.Text: Romans 8:24-25Location: Collierville Church of Christ
Jesus often encourages His followers to be careful about certain things. We read words like “take heed” meaning pay close attention to this. In Matthew 7, He warns them to be careful how they judge. In Mark 4, He says, “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.” Jesus encourages the people who hear Him to judge, to understand, to measure what they hear — but to do so carefully because it will be measured to them the same way. We have to be careful how we hear. We must be careful what we hear. But we must hear, and judge based upon the Word of God. Take heed what you hear… today.
